New swimming pool that was started fall 2018 and finished for the 2019 Memorial Day weekend for a young family in South Berkshire County. Designed to accommodate large family gatherings, this 18’ x 50’ pool has a bench seat along the entire length (to the left side of image). Automatic pool cover keeps the pool clean of most debris and saves energy.
Stamped concrete pool terrace and surround provides ample area for pool furniture. Rustic split rail fencing with black metal mesh for the pool fencing. The landscape design is all mixed tree and shrub Hydrangeas (6-8 weeks of flower bloom) and mixed sizes of ornamental grasses.
OL Ltd completed a pool master plan, design and construction management and installed the landscaping. Pool built by Scott Pools.
Detail of a front walkway in Egremont, MA using South Bay Quartzite, a natural granite that quarried near Fort Ann, New York in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. This particular stone works well in an irregular pattern. We have also used this stone for custom cut stair treads.
Steep hillside retained with native stone wall custom cut stair treads by Roger Tryon on Lake Garfield in Monterey, MA. Low plantings stabilize the bank and include Bearberry (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi) and low Sedum. Each Bearberry will grow to a 4-6’ diameter, so do not plant too close together. This low native groundcover is considered an evergreen with leaves that turn burgundy in the fall. And yes they produce a red berry in the summer that wildlife will eat (including your local bears).
